The topic I decided to research/write about is The Flash. I chose to write about The Flash because The Flash is one of my favorite superheros and my favorite TV show. During season one an accident happened in Central City, expert scientists decided to create a machine called the “particle accelerator” and they decided they wanted the public to know. On the day the scientists were going to turn it on a storm occurred causing the particle accelerator to malfunction which causes a storm. A CSI Investigator, Barry Allen was struck by lighting and goes into a coma. After many months in a coma he finally woke up with the power of super speed. Speed gave Barry Allen the ability to move through Central City unseen. When Barry discovered is powers he was shocked and he wasn’t the only “meta-human” who was created by the particle accelerator. Not all the meta-humans used their powers for good. Barry decided to team up with S.T.A.R Labs and he dedicates his life to protect Central City from meta-humans. Before Barry Allen became The Flash his mother was killed when he was eleven years old. The police accused the father for the murder that he didn't commit. Barry was an orphan, his mom died and the police took his dad to jail but Barry was taken in and raised by Detective Joe West. Now Barry became a CSI Investigator to discover who really killed his mom. While Barry was fighting meta-humans he found his nemesis called the Reverse Flash. The person who killed his mom. To be continued....

Student Success Statement “If I’ve got correct goals, and if I keep pursing them the best way I know how, everything else falls into line. If I do the right thing right, I’m going to succeed.’’
“If I’ve got correct goals, and if I keep pursing them the best way I know how, everything else falls into line. If I do the right thing right, I’m going to succeed.’’
~Dan Dierdorf
This quote means that if you keep chasing your dreams and goals the right and honest way you will succeed. You always need to do the right thing, you can’t do the wrong thing intentionally. If you always follow up on your goals and trying to accomplish them then you know what you’re doing in life. For example, if your goal is to get an A on your test/quiz do it the right way, you need to study and work hard but if you do it the wrong way like you cheat on your test that means you don’t really deserve the grade. At the end of the day your a good person, you are not perfect (nobody is perfect) but your intentions are good and your heart is pure. You need to chase your passions and goals. You need to work hard and accomplish something that is bigger than yourself.

Phillip Riggs’ Four Success Tips
1.Work Hard
2. Follow your passions. Do things you are interested in doing.
3.Don't chase after money.
4. Serve others. Do good things for others, and good things will come to you.
I think that these four tips from Phillip Riggs’ made me realize that I should be doing something that i am passionate towards and do not just become a follower but become a leader. The first tip towards me makes me wants to work hard at everything I do, try not to take things for granted. For example, I play soccer and I want to become better and try not to take this passion for granted. Tip number- I want to follow my passions, like I love to play sports and I want to try out at school like soccer, volleyball, softball ect. Tip number three is don’t chase after money and that means try not to be greedy and selfless. And tip number four means be kind and responsible. If you see someone that chooses the wrong try to think about what their doing and do the opposite of that. Always choose the right and good things would come towards you.

“In any moment of decision, the best thing you can do is the right thing.”
~Theodore Roosevelt
I agree with Theodore Roosevelt because he is saying that if you are in a tough situation think about doing the right thing. For example, if you see someone struggling with their groceries be kind and ask if you can help them. You always need to be kind and think about your actions. Another example would be if you see someone that accidentally dropped their money, choose the right, tell that person and give them their money but if you decide to keep it then you are choosing the wrong. If you decide to choose the wrong then you will feel guilty for what you did. You always need to choose the right.

“Nothing is ever gained in doing what’s wrong.”
~Wilford Woodruff
Yes, I totally agree with Wilford Woodruff because his statement above is true. In the statement he is trying to say that if you do bad things you will just be recognized as the trouble maker, nothing good will come from that. But if you do good things people will know you’re a good person and they would want to become your friends. We always need to choose the right because if we don't nothing good will come from that. The quote is also showing that doing the wrong thing would not take us anywhere. If you are not doing anything good then you’re not gaining anything in life. For example, if you are at a party and you are drinking alcoholic drinks that means you will probably get used too drinking that everyday and you will spend all your money on drinks and then someday you will die because of choosing the wrong. But if you are at a party and you are not drinking alcohol then that means you can control your temptation and that is what makes you a good person.

Reflection: No I would not like to become a pathologist because I will feel sick if i touch someone’s blood or urine. Also because I don’t work well with dead bodies and figuring out the cause of death.

“It’s A GREAT MOMENT when someone has character to step up and do the right thing at the time.”
~Pam Knox
I agree with Pam Knox with her statement because if you see someone getting bullied you have to do something. You have to speak up and tell the bully to stop being mean. Do not be a quiet bystander be the one that will make a difference. Many people are too afraid to speak up or in this case step up and do the right thing. You need to have the courage to speak up and do the right thing. Choosing the right will lead you to a successful path. If you do speak up and do the right thing it will also influence other people to speak up and choose the right. Many people will feel motivated for what you did and would not try to choose the wrong.

Student Success Statement
“I have been asked what I mean by ‘word of honor.’ I will tell you. Place me behind prison walls–walls of stone ever so high, ever so thick, reaching ever so far into the ground–there is a possibility that in some way or another I may escape; but stand me on the floor and draw a chalk line around me and have me give my word of honor never to cross it. Can I get out of the circle? No. Never! I’d die first!”
~ Karl G. Maeser
What I think Karl G. Maeser means in the statement above is that he will always keep his word no matter what is going on. For example he stated “Place me behind prison walls–walls of stone ever so high, ever so thick, reaching ever so far into the ground–there is a possibility that in some way or another I may escape; but stand me on the floor and draw a chalk line around me and have me give my word of honor never to cross it. Can I get out of the circle? No. Never! I’d die first!” That means that he would do what he is told. He would not cross the line because he kept his word of honor. For example if your friend tells you a secret and he/she says you have to keep your word of honor, you have to keep it, you cannot tell anyone. But if you do break the word of honor then that just means that people cannot trust you. So in my opinion you have to keep your word of honor to become a ctr person.
