Duties and Responsibilities: Kinesiologist works with athletes to improve fitness. They come up with appropriate physical programs. They work with the physically challenged, or victims of physical injury, to help train their bodies to recover. They manage sport facilities; provide assistance in sport management. They study factors that may affect fitness program.
Salary: $68,000-Median Salary
Education: A certified Kinesiologist must have a 4 year Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology or Human Kinetics. Must have a license by the State authorities. Finishing a Master’s degree will provide better career opportunities. Taking courses on English,Sciences, Math, Physical Education and Business.
Demand or Need for this profession: Kinesiologists can find employment in hospitals, healthcare centers, corporate offices, and athletic teams. Spas, resorts, beauty salons,and health clubs also have a high demand for experienced kinesiologist. Public schools also recruit for their physical education departments.
