In the statement above, I believe it is trying to explain that whoever you hangout with we determine your actions towards the future. If you hang out with good kids, who do not do any mischievous actions or foolish actions then you will be a good kid. Your actions will rub off on them. But if you hang out with really bad kids, they will definitely change who you have become. You will become bad. If it is not too late you always have a chance to change into a good person. You have to choose your friends with caution. You would have to plan your future.
