Duties and Responsibilities:
Dentist usually do the following:
Remove decay from teeth and fill cavities
Repair cracked or fractured teeth and remove teeth
Straighten teeth to correct bite issues
Give anesthetics to keep patients from feeling pain during procedures
Write prescriptions for antibiotics or other medications
Examine x-rays of teeth, gums, the jaw, and nearby areas for the problem
Make models and measurements for dental appliances, such as dentures to fit the patient
Teach patients about diet, flossing, use of fluoride, and other aspects of dental care
Salary:

Education:
Most dental students need at least a bachelor’s degree before entering dental school. All dental schools require applicants to have completed certain required science courses, such as biology and chemistry. College undergraduates who plan on applying to dental school must usually take the Dental Acceptance Test during their junior year. Dental schools require students to take classes such as local anesthesia, anatomy, periodontology and radiology.
Demand or Need for this profession:
Dental services have changed during the past half century. More dentists are retiring than are graduating. Numerous dental schools are about to open. The employment of dentists is to grow 18% from 2014 to 2024, much faster than the average for all occupations. It will increase as the population ages.

No i would not like to be a dentist because I have other goals in life to do than become a dentist. I really would like to become one because I believe there are many around the USA.
