Health Sciences Librarian
Image result for health science librarian dutiesDuties and Responsibilities:  Health science librarians assist students, patients, and health practitioners and providing them with help to find the information they need. These librarians are in charge of arranging and distributing clinical, scientific and biomedical information.  They are skilled at producing bibliographies related to different health types.
Salary:  Annual salary of around $52,000. Federal position could be as much as $80,170.
Education: You first must complete a high school education with the subjects science and math A bachelor’s degree in life science then a master’s degree in library science. Each state has its own requirements for licensure and education.
Demand or Need for this profession:  Of the 145,710 librarians recorded by the Bureau of Labor Statistics in 2011, 60,650 were employed in elementary and high schools. The largest group of 42,910 health science librarians worked in local government offices under the OES.
Reflection: No I would not like to be a health science librarian. I would not because I really don’t like books. I would rather do something more active instead of just sitting down on the computer.
