During the middle of my party the older adults started to hide the eggs while we were playing games and painting eggs. While they were done hiding the eggs we all got our baskets and started to find the eggs. There were two golden eggs but I didn’t get them. We had Star Wars theme eggs. After we found all the eggs. “I am not bound to win, but I am bound to be true. I must stand with anybody that stands right, and stand with him while he is right, and part with him when he goes wrong.”
~Abraham Lincoln

What I believe Abraham Lincoln’s state address is that he is willing to be one the correct/wining side if they are true. If they are willing to be completely honest and always be truthful and choosing the right. Abraham Lincoln is giving us advice. For example, if you are on a team that cheats and lies do not stand with them , do not be apart of that group. You be yourself do what you believe in but you always need to choose the right. Abraham Lincoln is willing to stand up for what is right and willing to stand up for the truth. He is willing to use the freedom he has and using it to have a freedom of speech. You always need to be with someone through thick and thin. Some people just want to be victorious by cheating and not playing fair but you have the chance to do the right thing.

“Character is higher than intellect.”
~ Ralph Waldo Emerson
In the statement above, I agree with Ralph Waldo Emerson. I agree with him because I do believe that character is so much better than intellect. Character is the one thing that makes you stand out from all the rest from people. You get to decide whether if you want to have good character or bad character. Without character you wouldn’t be able to be your own person. If you have good character then I believe that you will do good things for a good cause. For example you need to choose the right. You need to do good things and not lie. But if you have horrible character then you will do bad things. For example you would always lie and do something you are not suppose to do. That is why I believe character will always be higher than intellect.

“I trust that my hard work will pay off.”
~Tyler Haws

Although this quote may be short, it does have a strong meaning towards it. I agree with Tyler Haws that hard work will always pay off. I agree with him because he earned wining the championship for his team twice. He did not take anything for granted, he had to work really hard in order to achieve his dream and goal. Tyler Haws worked for what he wanted, it was not given too him, he had to work extremely hard. I believe that he was been pursuing his dream for many years and he finally earned it. This statement is related to me because I work really hard to keep my grades up and to keep becoming the person I am. Also I have worked hard to become a better soccer player. Although it is hard to accomplish your dreams and goals, it will be worth it because you would become successful in life by following your dreams and goals.
